Hiroshi Komori started his career at the workshop of Masaru Kohno in the 60s before going solo in the early 70s until 2007. Komori’s guitars, that are very rare outside of Japan, are traditionally built instruments with a sweet, responsive and round sound and strong emphasis on playability. This particular guitar cost 150.000 Yen in 1979 and was built to the highest standard with a beautiful solid spruce top, solid Indian rosewood back and sides and ebony fingerboard. The sound is reminiscent of the early to mid 60’s by Masaru Kohno, with focus on tone quality and soul, rather than volume. The action is set to 4 mm on bass side and 3 mm on the treble at 12th fret. The tuners are vintage high-end and well working Gotoh. No cracks or past repairs.
